I bought both the Incipio Feather case and the Incipio EDGE Slider case for the Zune HD and have listed the advantages and disadvantages below:

General:
- both cases offer excellent protection from scratches and drops (I actually dropped mine on cement while the Zune HD was incased in the Feather and it protected it perfectly.)

Feather advantages:
- easy to remove and attach
- doesn't interfere with screen protectors

Feather disadvantages:
- requires removal from Zune HD when inserting into charger dock (not a huge disadvantage since it's easy to remove and attach)

EDGE Slider advantages:
- case bottom is removable for inserting into charge dock

EDGE Slider disadvantage:
- Can't apply a screen protector PRIOR to sliding case onto Zune because it causes screen protectors to buckle (I read this on another review prior to purchasing the EDGE Slider, but thought I could work around it. I was wrong.)
- Can't apply screen protector AFTER sliding case onto Zune because screen protectors are designed to perfectly cover the screen and this case covers more of the Zune HD screen than the Feather in such a way that it prevents a screen protector from properly being applied.

This is just what I was looking for, something to protect the back of the Zune HD without adding a lot of weight. I prefer to carry the Zune HD in my pocket so I wanted something to protect the back and sides without a lot of weight or bulk. This does the job. I did not use the screen protector, I have another one already. I doubt it will provide much shock protection if you drop your Zune HD but at least it will get scratched. With the case on, the Zune HD does not fit in my dock. I could use the larger adapter plate or just take off the case when I want in the dock. I have not decided which way to go yet.

Its a little overprices IHMO. But as I said it is exactly what I was looking for so I am happy with the case. -- Just what I wanted

This is a very thin case. VERY THIN. When you get it, you may wonder how it could be worth the asking price. I think it is overpriced for what you get. It is light weight, and hardly adds anything to the zune. I can still use my dock with it, as long as I take out the dock adapter. Just be careful with placing your Zune on the dock, and you should be okay. It works fine. The back of the case has a fake rubbery smooth texture, although it is plastic. Keeps the back and sides protected well. Just get a clear screen protector for the front and your zune should be good to go. This case is so thin, I can still keep it on while putting my Zune into the DLO Armband that I bought. But it is a tight fit.
